Terms and Conditions

Overview

This website is operated by Volt Registry. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Volt Registry. By visiting our site or purchasing from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, including those additional terms, policies, and notices referenced herein. These terms apply to all users of the site, including without limitation industrial restoration workshops, private engineering builders, collectors, and browsers.

Section 1 – Sourcing Service & Product Availability

Volt Registry operates as an expert curation and sourcing platform for rare vintage electrical components, obsolete industrial automation pieces, and historic power distribution elements. To offer an exceptionally wide and unique archive of historical equipment, we operate under a specific operational framework:

No Physical Stock / External Archives: Many of the specialized components displayed on our platform are held in private estates, mechanical archives, or decommissioned industrial networks within our European framework. We do not store every single technical item in a single centralized physical inventory.

Request to Purchase: When you place an order and submit payment on voltregistry.com, your order does not constitute an instant sale. It represents a formal “Request to Purchase.” Upon receipt of your request, our team initiates a mandatory 48 to 72-hour validation process, during which we physically secure the item, run authenticity verifications on manufacturer stamps, check wiring insulation, and perform physical integrity tests.

Right of Cancellation: If an electrical component has been sold locally by its original holder immediately prior to our pickup, or if our workshop technicians determine that the part does not meet our strict standards for technical preservation and structural safety, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction. In such cases, you will be notified via email and issued an immediate 100% refund.

Section 2 – Accuracy of Technical Information & Electrical Risks

While we make every effort to provide exact historical context, factory part numbers, and precise technical specifications, vintage electrical equipment can feature slight factory variations or regional manufacturing modifications. We are not responsible if information made available on this site is not entirely accurate, complete, or current. The material on this site is provided for general guidance and curated restoration reference only.

Section 3 – Pricing, Modifications, and Errors

Prices for our electrical pieces are subject to change without notice due to fluctuations in market rarity or transport logistics costs. We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue a product listing or sourcing service without liability to any user or third party. Occasionally, technical listings may contain typographical errors or omissions relating to descriptions, pricing, dimensions, or shipping charges; we reserve the right to correct these errors and cancel orders if any information is inaccurate.

Section 4 – Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

In no event shall Volt Registry, our directors, technicians, or logistics partners be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind—including, without limitation, lost profits, system short-circuits, installation accidents, electrical fires, or workshop labor costs—arising from your use or installation of any components procured through our service. Vintage electrical items are sold as historical components; buyers assume all operational risks regarding eventual wiring, powering up, or live load usage.

These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Paris, France. Any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Paris, France.
